Lustrous chromatic
colours are the hallmark of the paintings Judith Anne Royal produces using
dyes steamed into a pure silk ground. Judith Anne, formerly a partner
in the Cable Art Gallery in Wellington, is also an experienced water colour
artist. She is now working from her workshop atMelrose overlooking Wellington's
South Coast, New Zealand.
Judith Anne is a New Zealander. In her earlier years she spent time in
England and Australia. It was there that she was introduced to the art
of painting.
Since returning to New Zealand some twenty years ago, Judith Anne has
experimented and painted with a variety of media. Experience has been
gained through teaching, training and travelling in Australia, America
and Europe. She is a regular guest artist at exhibitions and demonstrations,
in New Zealand and overseas, and a solo and group exhibitor.
As a former Committee member of Watercolour New Zealand, and artist member
of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, Judith Anne exhibits regularly.
Judith Anne was Chairman
of the successful national Golden C'Art Exhibition Group based in the
Wairarapa.
Present work is with silk dyes, acrylics and water colour.
Paintings are exhibited in private collections, galleries and corporate
businesses throughout New Zealand and overseas.
Judith Anne was a partner in the successful Cable Art Gallery in Wellington.
Her workshop is now established at 51
Hornsey Road, Melrose, Wellington.
